A weekend at Kruger Park

During our stay in Mozambique in November 2016 (most of the time working) we spent an entire weekend at the Kruger Park in South Africa.

We drove from Maputo (Mozambique's capital) to Nelspruit on a Friday after lunch - approximately 200km (3h drive), crossing the Lebombo border with a friend's car. It was an easy drive but we arrived during the night at our hotel in Nelspruit (6pm is already dark), he had an early dinner and we slept. Next day we woke up early (around 5am) to drive to God's Window (~100 km / 1:30 driving).

God's window has one of the most scenic views in South Africa, but unfortunately it was cloudy so we couldn't see anything. At least we heard it was very common so we just decided to go inside the Kruger Park through the Numbi gate. That night we slept in a bungalow at the Skukuza restcamp. We saw hundreds of animals during the weekend, including the Big5: lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard and rhinoceros. We also saw giraffes, zebras, hyenas, deer, monkeys, crocodiles, gnus, wild boar, hippopotamus and lots of birds.

We really can't wait to come back!
